Dear
Cathy,
I received the catalogue of your Grief Series in
today's mail. I
hadn't realized that the work grew out of your
husband's death. It is of
endless amazement to me how anyone can respond so
powerfully and so creatively to such a devastating
loss. Your exquisite draftsmanship is matched only
by the deep emotion expressed in your work. (And I'm
sure these prints only hint at the depth and texture
of the original pieces.)
I sense that your art creates great space for people
who see it to
touch their own grief, loss, and pain. And to
realize that they can hope
that there is something beyond these overwhelming
feelings, that there is still life and love and
memory.
Thank you for keeping your eyes and your heart open,
even "when the
unthinkable occurs." I'm sorry you ever had
reason to make this series.
With best wishes for happier inspiration in the
future,
Rosemary
Very
beautiful art work, you have great talent and your
work gives the viewer indepth feelings and
reactions. I think everyone that views your work can
relate to the images in a special way that touches
the heart, to each its own special meaning that
everyone sees or feels differently depending on
their own life circumstances that can be related to
your work. Fantastic art work!!!!

I
think you captured grief very well in terms of how
it gently surrounds, tenderly lays heavily upon you
and pulls at you in so many ways. The work is wonderful!
It conveys so many of
the emotions that surround death and the grieving of
lost love.
Judy
Awesome!
I was amazed at the beauty of your images on the
computer and a little awed by your breadth and depth
as an artist. The thing which gave me the most
prolonged goose bumps, however, was Rio's page.
You are indeed an incredible mother as well
as artist.
